Just a little about me

Hey guys! My name is Bethany Troyer and I am 19 (almost 20) years old!!

I do feel like I'm getting old.. it's crazy how fast time has gone by. Well I might as well start from the beginning and lead up to where I am now in life! I was born on October 31, 1992 in the small town of Seward, Nebraska. Ron and Chas became proud first time parents to a little girl! I was born into a very loving, large family. On my dad's side I have 2 aunts and 5 uncles, and I am at the bottom line of grandchildren. There are 30 grandkids. Needless to say our family has grown to extreme lengths since then! On my mom's side I have one uncle. So I got the best of both worlds you could say. I knew what it was like living with a large and small family. A couple years down the road, June 29, 1995, I became a proud big sister to twins! Britton James and Bryli Lauren made their appearance into the world, and boy was I excited. Except when I was forced to hold both of the fussy babies.

I was surrounded by my loving cousins, which also made awesome playmates. I know they are my life-long friends, and that I can depend on them to always be there for me.

As the years went on I entered school at Milford Public Schools. There I spent a good portion of my life learning and growing. I met some amazing people that became my best friends. They helped me through so many things and I know they play a huge part in who I am today.

By 4th grade my parents had gotten and divorce and my mom got remarried to a man named Jeff Bluhm. I gained a step-brother and a step-sister. Now I consider them my biological siblings because we have gone through so much and I love them just as much as I love Britton and Bryli! There were times I wanted to go live at my dad's house forever because we had fought, but as we got older they each became my friend.

Bryli and I did not like each other in our younger years. We fought a lot and we were always making mean comments to each other. As the years went along we found ourselves in high school. Sometime or another Bryli and I had stopped our bickering and we were actually hanging out.. as friends! Soon I was bringing her along to hang out with my friends also. Bryli is still my best friend and I can tell her anything. I know she will always be there for me and I will always be there for her!
My dad is such an amazing man! He has taught me so many important things in life, and showed me how to live life according to God. I have always been a daddy's girl. Helping him out on the farm or playing sports with him was what I saw as fun. To this day I am still excited to spend time with him and listen to what he has to say during our time together.

On September 25, 2011 I started dating my best friend, Stephen Shield. He knows everything about me, and still loves me for me. I tell him everything and I love how he responds to me. We both have a raging love for God, sports, and photography. I am so grateful God put him in my life. We continue to grow together and lean on each other for support. I've been with him for 11 months today, and I can honestly say it has flown by. There is not a doubt in my mind when I say I can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

My love for God is unexplainable in some ways. It's hard to put in words how I feel when I see God moving or how I feel when I raise my hands to worship Him. I went on a mission trip this past summer to Haiti. There God opened my eyes and literally broke my heart for what breaks his. I met some amazing people and am forever changed by that experience! Right now I am trying to figure out where exactly God wants me to be. I believe that it is working with children, which is why I am getting my degree in early childhood education. I love working with kids and teaching them about God. Only God knows where I will be in a few years, but I can't wait to see how He uses me for His good.

Well this sums me up in a few short paragraphs. It's hard to put my whole life into one post, but I tried to hit the main points :)
