Today I realized I have my whole future planned out on the website, Pinterest. I have my dream wedding, my future house, what my future kids will wear, and family portraits all laid out.
Sometimes I think we plan too much for the future instead of concentrating on the present. Right now you are making an impact on the world that only you can make, because God made you for that specific reason. Instead we are trying to get through college because we seem to think we can only change the world after we have a degree. Don't get me wrong a college degree is very important. Although I do think we are called to be making a difference every day in this world, not just after college. Every day I have to remind myself that I am here for a purpose, and that each day holds value. If I don't I get caught up in things that can totally change my thought process. For example, if I am having a bad day and if I let it affect my attitude I can miss out on so many opportunities that God is trying to lay before me. Whether that be spreading the gospel in some small way or just lending a smile to a stranger. By starting each day with a positive outlook and telling God that it's in His hands is just how you can start living for the here and now. Like I said before, everyone is here for a reason. That reason is developing through each day of your life and will continue to grow until you take your last breath and are sent home to be with our heavenly father.
